Sharpening your Handgun Shooting Ability

This 4 hour pistol class is designed to introduce a shooter to a more advanced method of training and
move them away from the static shoot and look to see where you hit. This is a moderate level training class. All
students must have taken the Texas Concealed Handgun Class and be knowledgeable of safely handling, shooting and controlling
your handgun or receive pre-approval from instructors to attend. We will be posting different
classes and class names in the coming weeks. While we feel the NRA training is the standard in the industry we feel like many
of you may not be getting what you are looking for in these classes since we MUST conform to their outline. We are creating
some classes that will more specifically target your needs. We will continue to offer NRA specific classes on a very
limited basis.

One on One Instruction The one on one
Instruction is tailored to meet your goals. Whether it is getting started with the basic shooting fundamentals, CHL preparation,
Law Enforcement or Security shooting skills and training or somewhere in between, our Staff of Certified Instructors are able
to handle your needs. Interested individuals need to e-mail us at training@lonestargunrange.com with what you are looking
for and several dates and times you may be interested in our Instruction. Cost is $40 per hour and does not include
use of firearms and ammunition which are available at additional charges.
NRA BASIC HANDGUN COURSE
The Initial BASIC HANDGUN CLASS starts at 8 AM in the Lone Star Range class room. Call for class dates!
Bring your handgun,(IF YOU HAVE ONE OR MORE) and magazine in an enclosed box or case to class with you. DO NOT
bring any ammunition into the class room.
We begin with:
* HANDGUN PARTS AND OPERATION of firearms,
* KNOWLEDGE AND SELECTION OF PROPER AMMUNITION,
* USING A HANDGUN SAFELY
* OPERATION OF HANDGUNS,
* SHOOTING FUNDAMENTALS/TARGET AND SELF-DEFENSE,
* SHOOTING POSITIONS,
* IMPROVING AND MAINTAINING
SHOOTING SKILLS,
* RANGE ETIQUETTE,
* RANGE TIME
* CLEANING,STORAGE& TRANSPORTING.
* We will have guns and ammunition for you as part of the class; you are encouraged to bring your own firearm for discussion.(If
you are missing any safety equipment we have extras for you.) There is no charge for using our guns and ammo
We
will fire 20 rounds from various guns.
All students will return to the class room for
o gun cleaning,
o The last thing before the final exam is a review of the material covered in class and student questions on areas
not covered. This class provides a(NRA)Basic Pistol Rating.
Class ends around 3:00 PM
